No dairy, No soy, No egg, No nuts and can be made with No Wheat.
Strawberry waffles is a MUST when camping. My step-father, Steve, makes them for all of us. He piles strawberries and whipped cream on top of his homemade waffles which leaves you undecided if it’s breakfast or dessert. To eat an entire waffle is an accomplishment and leaves you satisfied for a good portion of the day. Oh! and it’s absolutely delicious.
Soooo…of course, I HAD to find a way to make an allergy free version for our youngest son. I make his own allergy free waffles and Steve piles on the strawberries! Mmmmm… his version is not only healthier but it tastes just as good. He’s certainly not complaining!!!
Allergy Free Waffles (makes four waffles)
7/8 cup flour (wheat or oat)
2 tsp baking powder
2 Tbsp cooking oil
3/4 cup allergy free milk (we use rice milk)
1 Tbsp sugar
Mix flour, baking powder, and sugar together in a large bowl.
Mix oil and milk together in small bowl.
Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir well.
Cook in waffle maker until golden brown.
If freezing, allow to cool completely on wire rack. Place in freezer bags.
Enjoy!!
Elizabeth 🙂

I just LOVE when a recipe on an allergy friendly recipe site says "Allergy Free", especially when the first ingredient is "flour" with no mention of what kind of flour, which implies traditional wheat.
Elizabeth from EasyBreezyLife says
Sorry about that. I meant no harm by it. Wheat flour is not an allergen in our house anymore. So it is allergy free for us. However, when we were excluding wheat flour I used oat flour. I will change the recipe so that it doesn't confuse any others.
Thanks for stopping by and bringing the error to my attention.

Thank you for your recipe! My son is allergic to milk, eggs, and nuts so this does work for us and is allergy free in my books too!

Is it really just 7/8 cup flour? Sounds strange.
eblfoodallergies says
It does sound strange, doesnt it? I tried it with a full cup and it tasted too floury. I didn't exactly measure out 7/8 cup. I just emptied a bit out of the measuring cup. I hope this helps! 🙂
