I’m going to warn you now… you can’t eat this recipe right out of the slow cooker. The pork tenderloin gets cooked in the slow cooker and the balsamic glaze gets cooked on the stove top. It does require some extra steps, but the outcome is definitely worth it. I’ve also used this same glaze on chicken with fabulous results!
Do your slow cooker meals turn out dry? Many slow cooker covers do not seal tightly, which allows steam to escape and meat to dry out. I use slow cooker liners for this very reason (well, also because it makes the slow cooker SO much easier to clean). I empty the ingredients into the slow cooker liner and twist the bag tightly closed to really help seal in all the moisture when cooking!

Slow Cooker Balsamic Pork Tenderloin
Please do not take screen shots of recipes. Thank you.
Slow Cooker Ingredients:
- 2 pork tenderloins
- 1/8 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp sage
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/2 cup water
Balsamic Glaze Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 Tablespoon tapioca starch (or corn starch)
- 2 Tablespoons of Coconut Aminos (or soy sauce)
Directions:
- Rub both tenderloins with the sage, garlic, salt and pepper and place into the slow cooker (and liner if you’re using one). Also add 1/2 cup of water to the tenderloins and seal up the liner and close the lid to the slow cooker. Cook on low 6-8 hours or high for 4 hours.
- Add the ingredients for the balsamic glaze to a small pot or skillet and cook on med-high until it boils stirring continuously, then turn heat down to a slow simmer. Continue simmering and stirring until the mixture reduces by half and becomes thick and sticky. It should take about ten minutes.
- This next step is completely optional, however it does taste better if it’s completed and it only takes a few minutes. Preheat your oven to a high broil and line a baking pan with aluminum foil. Place both tenderloins onto the pan and spoon the balsamic glaze over the top of the tenderloins. Broil the pork for about five minutes, watching is closely, until the glaze starts to bubble and crisp and remove from the oven.

Yum! I just know this would go over so well in my home. I’m wondering if a boneless pork roast (not tenderloin) would do well in the slow cooker with this recipe, too. It’s been on sale a lot lately.

If you only lived closer Elizabeth! You could make the dishes with meat and I’d make all the vegan ones! We’d be a great pair. 🙂

Your pork looks perfectly cooked! I really need to try coconut aminos, do they really taste like soy?
