RECIPE: Allergy Free Chocolate Easter Bunny

April 9, 2012 by Elizabeth DiBurro 5 Comments

Allergy Free Chocolate Easter Bunny
No Dairy, No Soy, No Egg, No Nuts,
No Gluten can be made No Corn

This Easter not only did I make the allergy free chocolate bunny, but I also wrapped it in foil and added some artwork to make it look just like the ones bought in the store.  It was very very simple to do and required three ingredients.  Take a look…

Melt the Enjoy Life chocolate chips in the microwave.  Pour the chocolate into the molds.  Add your favorite fillings.  I used marshmallows and raisins.  Put it in the fridge to harden.

Once the chocolate has hardened, pop it out of the mold and break down the edges.  I could have gone crazy and filed the edges down smooth, but our son doesn’t know the difference and I don’t have the time…even if it would have made a better picture.  🙂

Then wrap the whole bunny in a piece of tin foil.  I used a sharpie market to draw details on the foil.

Now THAT looks like a real bunny that you’d buy at the store.  Doesn’t it???

Enjoy!!!

Thank You! You are a genius! This is the first year my soy-allergic child will be old enough to notice if she doesn't get a chocolate bunny in her Easter basket, and I have been searching high and low for a solution.

I found a mold on amazon.

How much of the chocolate chips did you use? This is my first time attempting this so I bought two bags in case I mess it up.

I'm gonna use dehydrated strawberries as the filling and it will be so tasty.
