Let’s start out by saying what it isn’t!
- no dairy
- no soy
- no gluten
- no wheat
- no corn
- no egg
- no artificial colors
- no preservatives
- no salt
- no sugar
- no animal derivatives
What is it used for?
Think of it as a vegan/allergy friendly Parmesan cheese
- create “cheese” sauce
- add flavor to soup
- sprinkle on popcorn for a new treat
- add flavor to pasta dishes
What does it look like?
Honestly? It looks like fish food. Really, check it out…
But what IS it?
Nutritional Yeast Seasoning is Inactive Dry Yeast, Niacin (B3), Pyridoxine HCI (B6), Riboflavin (B2), Thiamin HCI (B1), Folic Acid, and Vitamin B12.
Allergies to dairy? Living a vegetarian lifestyle? Decreasing cheese in your diet? Then I highly suggest trying Nutritional Yeast Seasoning. It won’t taste just like cheese. But it will make otherwise boring tasting foods taste delicious! 🙂
Try this yummy Macaroni & “Cheese” recipe (Our son calls it macaroni and pretend cheese).

I looked for this in the store and didn't see it. Do regular grocery stores carry it? Where should I be looking-in allergen free section, with seasonings, someplace else? Thanks! Can't wait to give it a try!

Hi Stacey, We purchase ours at a specialty foods store. You could try a Whole Foods or purchase on line??
