Best Dairy-Free Strawberry Pie

April 5, 2016 by Elizabeth DiBurro 22 Comments

My Mom made the Best Dairy-Free Strawberry Pie recipe for Easter this year.  It’s the perfect recipe to bring for a holiday because it tastes amazing, looks beautiful, and is SO super easy to make!

This is the best dairy-free strawberry pie recipe because it tastes amazing, looks gorgeous, and is SO easy to make!

Dessert recipes that are simple to make are a favorite in my house.  I spend so much time in the kitchen already that many times I want the ability to just whip something up fast for dessert.  This recipe does require refrigeration to allow it to set, but that makes things even easier because you can make it the day before it’s needed!

Simple to make dairy-free strawberry pie.

My Mom got the original recipe from Cathy at Lemon Tree Dwelling.  She did make one adjustment to make it dairy-free.  She substituted Earth Balance Vegan Buttery Sticks for the butter in the original recipe.

The results?

Amazing!

EASY dairy-free strawberry pie recipe.

If you’re looking for a gorgeous dessert recipe that is free of dairy, eggs and nuts, then I highly recommend Cathy’s Strawberry Pie recipe and switch out that one ingredient that I suggested.  You can even go one step further for a gluten free version and use a ready-made GF graham crust or try switching out the traditional flour for GF flour blend.  I think I’ll make this one for the 4th of July.  I can already envision it on a table with red, white and blue decorations and sparklers lighting the sky!

Enjoy!

The Best Dairy-Free Strawberry Holiday Pie. So easy to make and is also egg and nut free too!

This is beautiful! I wonder if I could use raspberries instead because I have a strawberry allergy.

I bet it would be even better with raspberries! I like them better than strawberries. 🙂

So gorgeous and tempting! I have never had a strawberry pie before. How does the crust hold up?

The crust worked out fantastic and wasn’t crumbly. It made the taste seem similar to strawberry shortcake! YUM!

With a HUGE strawberry lover in the house, we use strawberries ALL year! They’re so delicious I’d hate to only eat them 3 months out of the year.

Elizabeth. I literally want to dive into this pie. I was going to compliment you on that beautiful glaze but then looked over the recipe and discovered the secret. Jell-o! Brilliant. I’d much rather enjoy this for Thanksgiving dessert … it looks so fresh and bright!

It’s definitely not your traditional pumpkin or pecan pie but I like having a wide variety to choose from.
